El compromiso se detuvo primero durante 15 minutos en la primera mitad y, luego, más de media hora antes de iniciar el complemento. Aun así, el equipo de Tiago Nunes no perdió concentración ni ritmo: controló el partido y volvió a exhibir carácter de candidato.
Con el triunfo, Liga suma 61 puntos y se mantiene segundo en la tabla, a la caza del líder, mientras que Libertad queda quinto con 50 unidades y empieza a ver de lejos los puestos de clasificación.
